The smells I love are the smells so dear
Of cinnamon, vanilla, and burning leaves
All so far, yet all so near
A sniffle in the cold as my nose heaves.
For I can't smell the smell that I long for so,
The chill all around is dead and cold.
I go inside, into the warmth
Sniffing the air, Can I smell? HA! Not even the mold.
As the days go by, I sit around by the fire.
My nose is getting better! I can breath, and I'm no liar.
So, I stand in my place, following the smell.

Grumble, grumble. My stomach growls at me. Why didn't I eat this morning? Why didn't I see?
I learned the hard way, Not eating this morning, My stomach doesn't play Still moaning and groaning.
I saw, across a table, Food resting where it lay. It calls me, and calls me. Urghh! I'll be here all day!
Hurrying over, I picked up the food. My stomach quieted, after being so rude. I go on my way, satisfied and filled. At least until lunch comes, the hunger will yield.
